Our Story

Ruhu began long before it had a name.

It started with my mother, who taught me to recognize beauty in fine craftsmanship and vintage clothing. What began as admiration became a love affair. Weekends turned into treasure hunts through markets and hidden shops in London, Paris, Dar es Salaam, and Casablanca.

In 2018, it felt right to give this passion a home. That home became Ruhu.

Ruhu is a curated collection of eclectic vintage and original pieces for the woman who dresses with soul. She is expressive, cultured, and bold. She does not follow trends. She selects pieces that feel like her.

From creative meetings to gallery openings to intimate dinners, Ruhu moves with her, keeping her grounded, confident, and fully alive.

Our pieces are chosen and created for those who understand that clothing is more than appearance. It is presence. It is energy.

The word Ruhu, meaning soul, spirit, or essence in both Arabic and Swahili, reflects the heart of everything we curate and create.

Sustainability isn’t a trend for us, it’s a responsibility. With every piece, we honor the past, cherish the present, and protect the future.
